We are an up-and-coming robotics team comprised of a diverse group of young adults in grades 9-12 enthusiastic about STEM. We are passionate about the engineering process and are committed to making a positive impact on the community.
In Reno, we have been heavily impacted this last year by countless fires and we believe that, with proper training and knowledge, damages could be mitigated or eliminated. Our aim is to decrease the likelihood fires and to help save lives when fires do occur. We also hope to increase increase peace of mind in our community and hopefully spread our knowledge even outside our community.
Our team has completed fire safety training with the Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue. We also got hands on experience with firefighters to use fire extinguishers.
With this program we will work local high schools and communities to teach students fire safety. We are working on offering hands on experiences with fire extinguishers and putting out real fires which we hope with raise interest in our cause. We also provide educational brochures to the community regarding resources, knowing the location of your fire extinguisher, know how to use and check expiration date on fire safety equipment at home.
Please check back for upcoming events.
